Do you love camping, hunting, hiking, or fishing on the weekends but finding a place in New York state is a little too hard, beautiful yet peaceful where you can connect with nature well within your traveling radius? Well, Lakeside campground is the best place to be, whether with the family on vacation or taking a little trip with friends for an exciting and adventurous weekend.

The campground offers a plethora of activities and attractive sites that you might not have visited yet. However, in this post, you will learn all about the lakeside campground and the things it has to offer.

History of Lakeside Campground

Penny and Tony Spaid are the owners of the Lakeside campground, who purchased it back in 2020 after falling in love with the place during their first visit in 2018. Both are from central Pennsylvania, have traveled the world as a part of the U.S. Air Force, and wanted to make this place part of the recreational paradise. They hope to provide the best and high-quality services to the campers. Other than that, they have a vision of creating this place as the epitome of fun-filled adventure that gives outdoor enthusiasts a chance to get away from the city’s hustle and enjoy a weekend or perhaps a part of summer or camping season with their family and friends.

What To Do At Lakeside Campground And How To Get There

You can easily use north interstate routes from New York and Pennsylvania to get to the campground.

Whether you want to build tents on the ground, bring your RV, or rent one, you can do almost everything and more on this site related to camping. There are proper pull-thru sites of different sizes to cater to the parking issues of the RV. Then, there are cabins and private parking spaces beside the lake as well.

You can go fishing in the lake or go swimming as well. There are designated areas for all these activities. If you want to bring out your own boat or get one on rent for kayaking, there are various boats, from paddle boats to a canoe; you can find anything here.

There is a new playground, basketball court, sports center, and gaming room for adults and kids to spend quality time here. For golf lovers, there is a golf area nearby.

The best part of the campsite is that it has been portioned into chunks to provide privacy and the same type of activities to those campers who want to live in a secluded space. The wooded sites by the private lake have cabins and trailers of varying sizes, so even if you don’t have a tent or an RV, you can book a cabin or trailer on the campground for your family.

Apart from activities and the living situation at the Lakeside campground, there is a campground store as well on the site where people can purchase clothes, groceries, camping gear, and rental vehicle items.
